Celebration?

As the blog is nearing 4,000 visitors I have been thinking about what to do to celebrate the 5k mark.  A lot of blogs have a giveaway of some sort, and while I am considering the idea I'm not really sure what readers would appreciate most as a prize.

So what do you think? Seeds, a book, a garden tool, gift certificate... please weigh in and let me know what you think would be a great way to celebrate my 5,000th visitor, or even just your preference if you win.

And thanks to everyone who's reading!

  1. Yes, thank you. I'll take seeds, a book, a garden tool, and a gift certificate. Oh, you wanted us to pick just one? :-D

On a serious note, any one would be welcomed. If I had to pick, I'd say a gift certificate for seeds from a company that doesn't charge an arm and a leg for their shipping. Is there such a creature? How about a 2013 gardening calendar? Small garden tools are always welcome. Who among us doesn't need a new trowel or short handled cultivator? Now you have me thinking about what I can do to celebrate my 1000th. post! It's not far away.

    1. Hmm, not sure about the whole shipping thing, but I'll look into it. Maybe I could select an item from a company and just pay for the shipping on it as well. It's no fun to get a free gift that you end up having to pay for in shipping.

    2. I was thinking of your $$$. I know how I hate to buy $5 worth of seeds and then have to pay $7 to have them mailed to me! I guess that's one reason I stick with Ed Hume or Ohio Heirloom seeds, with their reasonable shipping charges. Not a lot of varieties to chose from though. I wish someone would compile a list of companies that do have reasonable shipping charges.
